A Follow-Up to My Previous Entry and Some Other Crap

 

So to recap:

• I'm happy I (mostly) kept my mouth shut and will continue to (mostly) do so
• I'm even happier that the whole thing legitimately seems to have come to nothing
• I stand by having reserved my judgement even if that makes me either a bad fan or a bad feminist
• I wish a good chunk of the Internet would shut the fuck up and stop being sore winners, but that's just par for the course

So apart from that, stuff's been pretty good. After a year plus determined to keep my expectations low Baldur's Gate 3 is better than I could have imagined, I've been able to get some stuff onto our summer/fall menu at work (yuzu coconut panna cotta, wooooo!) the state is less on fire than it's been, the cats are well, all the usual stuff. I've got two wines going, one mulberry courtesy of my dad's tree and one assorted melon courtesy of a breakfast fruit platter I took most of home from work the other day. Currently I'm trying to wrangle Season 2 of the Blades in the Dark game I've been running to a somewhat satisfying conclusion while still constantly stressing about whether it makes any internally consistent sense, but the players seem to be having fun which is the important part. God, I suddenly remember why I never used to update my LiveJournal that much back in the day. Enjoy this dose of venting/inanity and hopefully I'll see all like four of you around.
